2 Mobile Clinics Hosted in May!
Due to the protests and civil unrest Haiti was facing, a team from Trinity Church in Atlanta, Georgia had to cancel their trip in March, but that didn’t stop them from serving our friends in Haiti. The team generously funded two mobile clinics in May that allowed the staff at our sister clinic, Lespwa Timoun, to travel to Boucan Boyer and Bouzi and provide medical care to these communities.
In a report we received on the mobile clinics from Lespwa Timoun’s Medical Director, Dr. Delva, he stated that the goal of the clinics was to “reduce the morbidity and mortality rate of the most vulnerable,” and they certainly did. Altogether, the doctors and nurses at Lespwa Timoun were able to serve a total of 237 people living in these rural, impoverished communities in Haiti, including 119 children and eighteen pregnant women.
Thank you to these Trinity teams for their generous hearts and their willingness to serve our brothers and sisters in Haiti. You’ve made an incredible impact on the lives of the people that were served by these clinics!
