MISSION TEAMS

WHAT YOU DO

OUR TEAMS SUPPORT WORK AT LESPWA TIMOUN CLINIC BY HOSTING ONSITE AND REMOTE MEDICAL, DENTAL AND VISION CLINICS. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A DOCTOR TO SERVE WITHIN A MEDICAL TEAM. OTHER MISSION TEAMS SERVE IN REFORESTATION, SANITATION AND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS.

In 2018, Light from Light partnered with 11 Mission Teams from 7 states- Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. As the Lespwa Timoun Clinic grows, we encourage more teams to experience the fullness of the clinics work. Our goal for 2019 is to send 15 teams and we are currently accepting applications. GO ON A TRIP

MISSION TEAMS STAY AT THE LESPWA TIMOUN GUESTHOUSE, WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE CLINIC. THE GUESTHOUSE CAN ACCOMMODATE UP TO 11 TEAM MEMBERS. TEAM MEMBERS ENJOY THREE DELICIOUS HAITIAN MEALS A DAY. THE GUESTHOUSE IS A DORMITORY SETUP WITH SEMI-PRIVATE ROOMS WITH COMMON RESTROOMS, OFFERING HOT SHOWERS. TEAMS CAN PLAN THEIR OWN SCHEDULE TO SERVE FOR 4 OR MORE DAYS.

PASSPORT / IMMUNIZAIONS / FLIGHTS / PAYMENT / HEALTH

All US mission team members are required to have a passport for entry into Haiti. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. See the US Department of State website for more information: https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/apply.html If applying for a new passport, please allow 8-10 weeks to receive it. All travelers should bring a photocopy of the first two pages of their passport in their carry on luggage.
