On Friday, November 22, 2019, guests gathered at The Pavilion at Pepper Plantation in Awendaw, SC, for a beautiful evening of celebration and support of Light from Light and our partner in Haiti, the Lespwa Timoun Clinic.

Thank you to everyone who attended A Brighter Haiti and donated to Light from Light! Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise $62,000 for Light from Light! That’s enough to operate the Lespwa Timoun (“Hope for Children”) Clinic, our partner in Haiti, for over two and a half months. God is good!

That money will go a long way to help our Haitian partners at the Lespwa Timoun Clinic create sustainable, positive change in their community through their Nutrition, Child Sponsorship, and Midwife Programs, and much more.

Thank you also to those that attended the event for being so warm and welcoming to the Valdemas. As many of you heard Friday night, friends in South Carolina were among the first to support and walk alongside of Carmel and Pere Val in their efforts to fight child malnutrition and end infant mortality in Haiti.

If you missed getting to meet Carmel at the event, you can learn more about her dream for the children of Haiti and the incredible work she is doing at the Lespwa Timoun Clinic by watching the video below.

Special thanks to The Pavilion at Pepper Plantation, Bulls Bay OYRO, Boats N Hoagies, Chris Crosby, Eric Stair, Don Phillips, Chick-fil-A North Mt Pleasant, PHV Photo, Miranda DuBose, Alison Taylor, all of our 2019 A Brighter Haiti Sponsors, and our hardworking volunteers, without whom this beautiful evening wouldn’t have been possible!
